How to use CleanMyMac X in Apple Silicon mode?

  8. Robert says:

Also Programmstart und permanente Passworteingabe.

    • juan carlos says:

      hhhhh hada maktab

    • pier says:

      same for me

    • GreenYogi says:

Lol . The general rule with Apple laptops is ‘do not upgrade your OS’.
The MBP 16″ i own came with Catalina 10.15.4 and until now i consistently dismiss the prompts to update it to higher versions, let alone to upgrade with Big Sour or Monsteray.
Why? Not because Cataloonie is great in any way but due to the facts that a) every new version of OSX looks a bit more like a gay clone of iOS and b) it works trouble free with the hardware in my machine, and i sure wanna keep it that way.
Any change to the original configuration means a serious risk to run into all sorts of ‘annoying’ issues, big and small. Gotta love Apple engineering.
Sorry for the rant Mac fanboys, but one has to face the facts and the new silicon architecture not supporting Bootcamp means i will not buy another MBP in case i outlive this one (yup, am getting old). I have learned my lesson, finally.

  59. Pier says:

    • Seth says:

How do you install the app? It closes every time I attempt to install it manually, and it instructs me to go to the terminal and use the two options but it keeps asking for a password. What’s the password?

  80. Ray Blumes says:

Every time I try to install this on my laptop (Macbook Pro 2019) it works fine and then it simply… disappears from the computer after a few hours / one day. Any thoughts on why this happens? Running Big Sur, but also happened before update.

  81. Aaron says:

This’s is a little bit random, but I was wondering if anyone knows a way to have CleanMyMac always have the Christmas/Winter sounds – I like those. Seems like it’s timed and only seasonal, but I’d like to be able to keep those if possible.

  86. Bill says:

Finally works on M1 and Monterey 🙂

  87. loopsandloops says:

Thanks for the 4.8.2 release, however its still the Intel version and not the Universal one for better performance on M1 Macs

  101. ali says:

Even though it’s the 4.8.1 it’s still the intel based version and not the universal one

  102. サイモン says:

Thank you so much for updating this 🥰

  103. Graham says:

Meh, still x2 releases behind 4.8.2

Also, this release is still stuck on INTEL and not UNIVERSAL for M1 Macs. This was one of the key updates they touted for the 4.8x releases, in that. TNT need to up their game and keep the UNIVERSAL binary, as this TNT release still gets emulated by Rosetta which slows it down a tad

MacPaw state in their release notes “Moving with the times, CleanMyMac X adds native support for the new Macs with M1 chip”

  114. Raging hormones says:

is this working for M1 Macs?

  115. Black Baron says:

4.4.7 seems to work so far. Still some very hot CPU phases by previewing web pages in localhost. Safari seems to have some heavy RAM overload problems. I use CMMX to free RAM space whenever CPU gets hot and fans are spinning like crazy.

pup means “potentially unwanted program”. it does not means it contains something bad. tnt changes the app with all features enabled and sign it themselves afterward. Avast sees the signature and spits out the message and quarantines the files. All pirated apps must be somehow modified to work as paid.

  124. fightforfreedom says:

    working fine without codesign. thanks!
